Diego Rivera was a Mexican painter, considered one of the greatest exponents of the Mexican muralist school along with José Clemente Orozco and David Alfaro Siqueiros. In his work, which includes paintings and large murals, he ventured into cubism and social realism and contains an important political charge, representative of the Mexican Revolution.
