Streamzy (Mobile)

Streamzy is a platform that helps people find, share, and match movies and TV shows that are streaming, allowing users to spend less time deciding what to watch and more time enjoying it with loved ones.

The Challenge:

The app’s purpose wasn’t clearly communicated to users, which created confusion. To address this, I focused on refining user expectations and streamlining the experience by:

  • Enhancing usability without requiring an account
  • Offering more value upfront before asking users to log in
  • Simplifying the process of adding, sharing, and matching titles
  • Making the movie detail list more concise and easier to scan

Strategy, UX, and UI:

After conducting a heuristic evaluation and brainstorming, I decided to divide the app into key sections: onboarding, sharing, and matching. The focus was to create a straightforward and accessible user flow, with quick access to watchlists and sharing features, allowing users to easily manage and share their favorite content. I also reorganized the information hierarchy, consolidating the match list into one easily accessible section.

Outcome:

As a result of these changes, Streamzy successfully delivered what users wanted: more free time.
