The fashion of Flappers

The 1920s were a time of young women and men rebelling against the old rules of the world. And trying to express themselves.

More women were starting to want to wear whatever they chose and not what was appropriate at this time. And that’s when flappers came into play; they were performing women always wearing pearls and beautiful sparkly dresses.

Flappers were women of class and money, showing their wealth with their beautiful dresses. Always dancing and singing music in Jazz bars.

FUN FACT: The term Flappers originated in North England. The term meant “Teenage girl,” and it referenced their cut hair and rebellious nature.
